THE GATEWAY PROJECT

Discipleship Training School (DTS) + Ministry Development School (MDS)

The Gateway Project is a one-year practical training package in discipleship and youth ministry, based in Australia's capital, Canberra. It is a hands-on, real-world experience of working with youth, walking with God and living in Christian community. Be prepared to have your world rocked!

Course breakdown

SEMESTER 1 (22 WEEKS) DTS (DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL)

- 12-week lecture phase

- 10-week cross cultural outreach

SEMESTER 2 (22 WEEKS) MDS (MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL)

- equipping for ministry, practical and spiritual

- input from experienced youth ministry leaders

- youth ministry placement with local churches or partner ministries

- staff internship with YWAM Canberra.

Fees

$8,000 AUD + OUTREACH COSTS

This includes full board (food, accommodation, Wi-Fi, etc.) and tuition, as well as team outreach costs.

The Certificate III in Discipleship (10802NAT) and Certificate IV in Christian Missions (10899NAT) are both approved vocational training courses; trainees could be eligible to apply for Youth Allowance or AusStudy.

Graduate with a YWAM DTS (Certificate III in Discipleship 10802NAT) and a YWAM MDS (Certificate IV in Christian Missions 10899NAT), and a heap of ministry experience that will set you on a lifelong path of knowing God and making God known.
